I also work at the NTNU (Norwegian University of Science and Technology) teaching medical students in gynecology and doing research, ie. on early mental health interventions after sexual assault, qualitative research on patients´ experiences from attending the SACs, and on consequences of rape on general health, including chronic pelvic pain and sexual dysfunction.

Islands. I have been active in establishing the first Sexual Assault Center on Faroe Islands. The
center was established in 2020 and Im responsible for coordinating and organizing the forensic
investigation, contact to the police, medical treatment, follow up and referring to psychological
support.

worked at the Emergency Clinic for Rape Victims in Stockholm ever since it opened in
2005 and I was head of the clinic between 2015 and 2020. My research is affiliated to the
Department of Clinical Science and Education at Karolinska Institutet and my main
research field is about concequences of rape. I supervise several doctoral students and
half of my time I work as a course director for the course in Obstetrics and Gynecology at
the medical program at Karolinska Institutet.

I have done research on the treatment of long-term consequences in adults exposed to sexual assault in adulthood and currently participate in a research project focusing on treatment collaboration with departments for psychiatric treatment.
For a number of years I have been a member of the National Association of Sexual Assault Centers, where we work on knowledge update and preparation of guidelines for what characterizes good quality, and equality, in treatment of both acute and late referrals across the nine SACs in Denmark.
