The aim of NordSAC

NORDSAC is a non-political, non-profit society. The mission of NORDSAC is:

To be a Nordic platform for individual professionals from the
Nordic + countries 1 dedicated to the care and treatment of
adolescent and adult survivors of sexual assault.

To work for improvements in the practice of care and treatment of
victims of sexual assault, incl. development of common guidelines.

To promote and support basic and clinical research.

To promote education and training in care and treatment of
victims of sexual assault.

To promote and support Nordic+ and international scientific and
clinical exchange and friendship among professionals active in care
and treatment of victims of sexual assault

To address, inform and advise stakeholders and policy makers.

As means to fulfil this mission the Society shall:

Set Nordic standards of care and treatment for victims of
sexual assault.
Promote and conduct collaborative clinical trials, regarding care
and treatment of victims of sexual assault.
Organize and coordinate conferences, meetings, and
collaborative activities.

Set Nordic guidelines for professional education and training in
care and treatment of victims of sexual assault.
Establish co-operation and relationships with other
international, national and regional societies and organizations
in this field.
